WATER DEFICIT ON GROWTH AND PHYSIOLOGICAL INDICATORS OF Bidens pilosa L. AND Bidens subalternans DC. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Stress caused by soil water deficit has been one of the main factors that inhibit plant growth. The knowledge of the factors related to the behavior of weed species under water stress conditions can contribute to the elaboration of effective control strategies. Two experiments were carried out to evaluate the effects of the degree and duration

Atividade antifúngica de Bidens pilosa L. [PDF]
The authors observed the Bidens pilosa L. antifungic activity which was collected from Sao Paulo city. Alcoholic extracts of fresh green plants were prepared for testing. Discs paper were impregnated by the alcoholic concentrate. The antifungic activity was tested in Sabourand dextrose agar in petri dishes against 47 strains of fungi.

Germination constraints of dicarpic cypselae of Bidens pilosa L. [PDF]
Abstract Bidens pilosa L. is a heterocarpic weed species with two cypselae types that present morpho-physiological differences, being the peripheral type smaller and slower to germinate than the central one. We aimed to verify how the germination mechanism varied between types.

Silver nanoparticles intensify the allelopathic intensity of four invasive plant species in the Asteraceae [PDF]
This study aimed to estimate the allelopathic intensity of four Asteraceae invasive plant species (IPS), including Conyza canadensis (L.) Cronq., Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers., Bidens pilosa (L.), and Aster subulatus Michx., by testing the effect of leaf ...

Aqueous plant extracts in the control of Bidens pilosa L. [PDF]
ABSTRACT: Secondary compounds have allelopathic action on germination and growth, and initial development of seedlings and beggar tick can have its germination and growth affected by the action of allelopathic extracts. Thus, this work aimed to evaluate the allelopathic potential of Brachiaria (Brachiaria brizantha), sunflower (Helianthus annuus) and ...
