Bidirectional Voltage Source Converter for Microgrid

2019
Microgrid is a small-scale power supply network associated with Distributed Energy Resources. Nowadays DC microgrid has become a new subject of research due to addition of renewable energy sources and electric vehicles for small buildings and residential. In this paper, we have taken review of previous published work and based on that we proposed solar-

The Bidirectional Multiresonant Converter

2003
The new bidirectional multiresonant converter is presented. The new converter is derived from the DE-class converter. The converter rectifiers are replaced by controlled bidirectional switch and bidirectional power flow is achieved in the same circuit. The converter performs different modes of operation.

Current mode controlled bidirectional flyback converter

20th Annual IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2003
A description is given of a current-mode-controlled bidirectional flyback converter handling different values of power in either direction. The flyback transformer operates in a continuous conduction mode in one direction and in a discontinuous conduction mode in the other direction of power flow.

Bidirectional Converter for Charging /Discharging of Battery

Journal of Futuristic Sciences and Applications, 2020
A better option for V2G and G2V compatibility is a bidirectional dc/dc on-board charger for EV battery discharging/charging application. Isolated converters favour working with high power densities over a wide variety of loads, which is advantageous for EV applications. For all power switches in both directions, the bidirectional converter executes the

A Current-Fed Isolated Bidirectional DC–DC Converter

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2017
This paper proposes a current-fed isolated bidirectional DC-DC converter (CF-IBDC) which has the advantages of wide input voltage range, low input current ripple, low conduction losses, and soft switching over the full operating range. Compared with conventional CF-IBDCs, the voltage spikes of the low-voltage (LV) side switches in the proposed ...

Unipolar Bidirectional Current Source (UBiCS) Converter

2007 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2007
In general, current source inverters (CSI) consist of a controlled current dc-link, which is connected to an inverter. Since the dc-link current as well as the output current have to be controlled, CSIs require a large amount of controllable semiconductors.

A bidirectional power converter

A three-phase power converter for converting power between a power grid network and a battery (255) comprises a three-phase grid transformer (230), a three-phase switching converter (251) for coupling to a positive terminal of the battery, a first, second and third series inductors(Ls1, Ls2, Ls3) coupled between the three-phase grid transformer and the
