Thermohydraulic model of Smart Thermal Grids with bidirectional power flow between prosumers

Energy, 2021
Abstract Part of Smart Energy Systems are Smart Thermal Grids, which enable bidirectional power flow between prosumers. To facilitate this feature, the network architecture and intelligent control of the decentralized actuators are a major challenge. Therefore, methods for the analysis of prosumer-dominated thermal networks are needed, including the ...

HVDC bidirectional power flow using solid state transformer

2017 International Conference on Circuits, Devices and Systems (ICCDS), 2017
With the development of a hybrid system, flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) and high voltage direct current (HVDC) system are using to provide the control technique in the hybrid power system. In distributed power generation systems, the DC networks have more importance to handle the problem related to the DC power flow control in DC networks ...

Power Flow Direction Definitions for Metering of Bidirectional Power

IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1983
In power system metering there are no generally accepted direction definitions applied to the bidirectional flow of active, reactive, and apparent power. To remedy this, an approach based on the power triangle in four quadrants is presented here. Recommended definitions are given for power flow directions at any point in a power system.
