Bidirectional waveguide coupling with plasmonic Fano nanoantennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We introduce the concept of a bidirectional, compact single-element Fano nanoantenna that allows for directional coupling of light in opposite directions of a high-index dielectric waveguide for two different operation wavelengths.

AC–DC–DC isolated converter with bidirectional power flow capability

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2010
A novel AC-DC-DC isolated converter with bidirectional power flow capability is proposed and studied. The proposed structure consists of a three-phase current source converter and a special DC-DC isolated converter. In this DC-DC converter, the primary side of the high-frequency transformer is a current source converter and the secondary side is a ...

Coordination game in bidirectional flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We have introduced evolutionary game dynamics to a one-dimensional cellular-automaton to investigate evolution and maintenance of cooperative avoiding behavior of self-driven particles in bidirectional flow. In our model, there are two kinds of particles,

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.
