Uncertainty in bidirectional transformations

Proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Modeling in Software Engineering, 2014
In Model-Driven Engineering, models are primary artifact manipulated by means of automated transformations. Recently, a notion of uncertainty has been introduced in models permitting modelers to postpone design decisions in case of lack of information. Interestingly, other forms of model uncertainty are induced by bidirectional transformations. In fact,

A Bidirectional Light Field ‐ Hologram Transform

Computer Graphics Forum, 2007
Abstract In this paper, we propose a novel framework to represent visual information. Extending the notion of conventional image‐based rendering, our framework makes joint use of both light fields and holograms as complementary representations. We demonstrate how light fields can be transformed into holograms, and vice versa.

Putback-based bidirectional model transformations

Proceedings of the 2018 26th ACM Joint Meeting on European Software Engineering Conference and Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering, 2018
Bidirectional model transformation (BX) plays a vital role in Model-Driven Engineering. A major challenge in conventional relational and bidirectionalization-based BX approaches is the ambiguity issue, i.e., the backward transformation may not be uniquely determined by the consistency relation or the forward transformation.

A True Bipolar Bidirectional DC Transformer

2021 4th International Conference on Energy, Electrical and Power Engineering (CEEPE), 2021
DC transformer is an important equipment in DC distribution network, and the DC transformer with true bipolar characteristics has complex structure, large volume and high cost. In view of these problems, this paper proposes a topology of true bipolar DC transformer which can be realized with only four switches, and adopts non isolated structure to ...

Text classification using improved bidirectional transformer

Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, 2021
AbstractText data have an important place in our daily life. A huge amount of text data is generated everyday. As a result, automation becomes necessary to handle these large text data. Recently, we are witnessing important developments with the adaptation of new approaches in text processing.

Bidirectional, High-Power DC Transformer

IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 2009
This paper studies a bidirectional dc-dc converter concept which is capable of achieving very high stepping ratios with MW level power transfers. The converter can find potential application in connecting high-power dc sources, interfacing to high-voltage dc transmission or to flexible ac transmission system elements.

Managing uncertainty in bidirectional model transformations

Proceedings of the 2015 ACM SIGPLAN International Conference on Software Language Engineering, 2015
In Model-Driven Engineering bidirectionality in transformations is regarded as a key mechanism. Recent approaches to non-deterministic transformations have been proposed for dealing with non-bijectivity. Among them, the JTL language is based on a relational model transformation engine which restores consistency by returning all admissible models.

Linguistic foundations for bidirectional transformations

Proceedings of the 31st ACM SIGMOD-SIGACT-SIGAI symposium on Principles of Database Systems, 2012
Computing is full of situations where two different structures must be "connected" in such a way that updates to each can be propagated to the other. This is a generalization of the classical view update problem, which has been studied for decades in the database community [11, 2, 22]; more recently, related problems have attracted considerable ...
