Biflavonoids from Ochna calodendron

Abstract The biflavonoids, lophirone K and calodenins A and B, were isolated from the stem bark of Ochna calodendron along with lophirone C. Their structures were determined from spectroscopic and chemical evidence.

Abstract In addition to the known biflavonoids GB-1a, GB-2a and morelloflavone, the heartwood of Garcinia volkensii Engl. contains volkensiflavone, a new flavanone-flavone whose constituent units are naringenin and apigenin.
