Cusp-scaling behavior in fractal dimension of chaotic scattering
A topological bifurcation in chaotic scattering is characterized by a sudden change in the topology of the infinite set of unstable periodic orbits embedded in the underlying chaotic invariant set.

Thermodynamic Analysis of Inverted Bifurcation [PDF]
We present a thermodynamic analysis of inverted bifurcation in binary mixtures heated from below. From this analysis it follows that an inverted bifurcation is caused by the competition between a stabilizing effect with a long relaxation time and a destabilizing effect with a short relaxation time.

A Superlubricated Magnetically Steerable Microcatheter with Integrated Optical and Fluidic Channels
A magnetically steerable microcatheter with integrated optical and fluidic channels is developed for multifunctional navigation in tortuous anatomical environments. A surface‐grafted hydrogel coating enables low‐friction actuation. The device demonstrates stable light and fluid delivery during magnetic manipulation, offering a compact platform for ...

Bifurcation Analysis of a Certain Hodgkin-Huxley Model Depending on Multiple Bifurcation Parameters
In this paper, we study the dynamics of a certain Hodgkin-Huxley model describing the action potential (AP) of a cardiac muscle cell for a better understanding of the occurrence of a special type of cardiac arrhythmia, the so-called early ...

Time-delayed feedback control of unstable periodic orbits near a subcritical Hopf bifurcation
We show that Pyragas delayed feedback control can stabilize an unstable periodic orbit (UPO) that arises from a generic subcritical Hopf bifurcation of a stable equilibrium in an n-dimensional dynamical system. This extends results of Fiedler et al. [PRL

This study explores how information processing is distributed between brains and bodies through a codesign approach. Using the “backpropagation through soft body” framework, brain–body coupling agents are developed and analyzed across several tasks in which output is generated through the agents’ physical dynamics.

A new chaotic hyperjerk system with four quadratic nonlinearities, its bifurcation analysis, multistability, circuit design and complete synchronization design via active backstepping control [PDF]
In this research work, we propose a new four-dimensional chaotic hyperjerk system with four quadratic nonlinearities. We carry out a detailed bifurcation analysis and derive conditions for the existence of a Hopf bifurcation for the new hyperjerk system.

Miniaturized Magnetic Tip Design for Endoluminal Vine Robot Navigation
A magnetic tip mount is designed for a miniaturized 7 mm soft‐growing vine robot to enable wireless magnetic steering and onboard imaging, while preserving a 3 mm working channel. The internal–external ring magnets design balances magnetic attachment with low eversion pressure. Experiments demonstrate ±90° steering, 34 mm bending radius, and successful
