Ratio dependent predation :A bifurcation analysis

Korean Journal of Computational & Applied Mathematics, 1998
Summary: We have considered a prey-predator model reflecting the predator interference with discrete time delay. This delay is regarded as the lag due to gestation. In absence of delay, criteria for existence of an interior equilibrium and its global stability are derived.

On the analysis of hopf bifurcations

International Journal of Engineering Science, 1983
Abstract The oscillatory instability and the family of limit cycles associated with a general autonomous dynamical system described by n nonlinear first order differential equations and an independently assignable scalar parameter are examined via an intrinsic method of harmonic analysis.

Local Numerical Analysis of Hopf Bifurcation

SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 1996
Summary: This paper contributes to a local numerical analysis of Hopf bifurcation in the sense of a bordered systems approach. However, the method proposed enables us to decide about stability exchange between a stable steady-state and a bifurcating orbit without explicit knowledge about the spectrum of the monodromy matrix.

Analysis and Control of Hopf Bifurcations

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2004
Summary: In this paper, control systems with two uncontrollable modes on the imaginary axis are studied. The main contributions include the local orientation control of periodic solutions and center manifolds, the quadratic normal form of systems with two imaginary uncontrollable modes, the stabilization of the Hopf bifurcation by state feedback, and ...

Numerical analysis of bifurcations

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1996
This paper is a brief survey of numerical methods for computing bifurcations of generic families of dynamical systems. Emphasis is placed upon algorithms that reflect the structure of the underlying mathematical theory while retaining numerical efficiency.

Dynamic Robust Bifurcation Analysis

2015
We propose a new concept of dynamic robust bifurcation analysis for uncertain dynamical systems. An uncertain system is described by a feedback form composed of a nonlinear dynamical system and a dynamic uncertainty that is defined by a set of differential equations. For such an uncertain system, a bifurcation point can be uncertain as well. Therefore,

Stability, Bifurcation and Postbuckling Analysis

1998
Liapunov theory is first presented and discrete mechanical systems are in particular analysed. Then buckling and postbuckling analysis of continuous mechanical systems due to Koiter are discussed in some detail following Budiansky presentation. Finally, the influence of multiple interactive buckling modes on postbuckling behaviour is analysed in some ...
