A Diagrammatic Representation of Phase Portraits and Bifurcation Diagrams of Two-Dimensional Dynamical Systems [PDF]

open access: yesJavier Roulet and Gabriel B. Mindlin, Int. J. Bifurcation Chaos 27, 1730045 (2017), 2018
We treat the problem of characterizing in a systematic way the qualitative features of two-dimensional dynamical systems. To that end, we construct a representation of the topological features of phase portraits by means of diagrams that discard their quantitative information.

Bifurcation and chaos analysis of a pretensioned moving printed electronic laminated membrane considering aerothermoelasticity

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
The bifurcation and chaotic motion characteristics are studied for a roll-to-roll flexible printed electronic laminated membrane subjected to initial tension in a steady temperature field. First, an aerodynamic model of the moving membrane is established

Some new results on charged compact boson stars

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2017
In this work we present some new results obtained in a study of the phase diagram of charged compact boson stars in a theory involving a complex scalar field with a conical potential coupled to a U(1) gauge field and gravity.

Bifurcation and Patterns Analysis for a Spatiotemporal Discrete Gierer-Meinhardt System

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The Gierer-Meinhardt system is one of the prototypical pattern formation models. The bifurcation and pattern dynamics of a spatiotemporal discrete Gierer-Meinhardt system are investigated via the couple map lattice model (CML) method in this paper.

Bifurcation diagrams of the buck converter

open access: yes9th International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems, 2003
The steady-state responses of the buck converter are determined by means of computer simulation and presented in a form of one-parameter bifurcation diagrams and two-parameter bifurcation diagrams. It is shown that analysed converter can be driven into chaos through a process of period doublings for each of the three chosen bifurcation parameters: the ...

Deformations of the Bifurcation Diagram Due to Discretization [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 1985
With a singular perturbation problem occurring in chemical reaction processes, substantial changes of the bifurcation diagram due to discretization are demonstrated. It is shown that a discrete system can possess any number of solutions, whereas the underlying continuous problem has exactly one solution.

Delayed Feedback Control of Hidden Chaos in the Unified Chaotic System between the Sprott C System and Yang System

open access: yesComplexity, 2021
In this paper, the influence of delayed feedback on the unified chaotic system from the Sprott C system and Yang system is studied. The Hopf bifurcation and dynamic behavior of the system are fully studied by using the central manifold theorem and ...

Dynamic study of a predator-prey model with Allee effect and Holling type-I functional response

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
In this paper, a prey-predator model with Allee effect and Holling type-I functional response is established, and its dynamical behaviors are studied in detail. The existence, boundedness and stability of the model are qualitatively discussed.

Research on the Numerical Simulation of the Nonlinear Dynamics of a Supercavitating Vehicle

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2016
Little is known about the movement characteristics of the supercavitating vehicle navigating underwater. In this paper, based on a four-dimensional dynamical system of this vehicle, its complicated dynamical behaviors were analyzed in detail by numerical

Study on bifurcation characteristics of multi-clearance bending torsional coupling gear transmission based on EHL

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2020
In order to study the influence of tooth surface friction on the non-linear bifurcation characteristics of multi-clearance gear drive system, a 6 degree-of-freedom bending torsional coupled vibration model was established. The time-varying mesh stiffness,
