Non-constructive interval simulation of dynamic systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this report, inspired by non-constructive simulation developed in the qual-itative reasoning eld, we present a non-constructive interval simulation algorithm forthe simulation of dynamic systems.

Double‐Interpenetrating Composite Bioink for Multi‐Component 3D Bioprinting and Biofabrication

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine‐polysaccharides‐derived double interpenetrating network hydrogel‐based bioink, combining the attributes of physical and ionic crosslinking, enables room‐temperature bioprinting of mechanically defined structures that can be handled and are cytocompatible.

Stable Protein‐Based G‐Quadruplex‐Derived Supramolecular Bioinks as Tunable ECM‐Mimetic Constructs Assembled by Combining Non‐Covalent and Covalent Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...

Unilateral Global Bifurcation from Intervals for Fourth‐Order Problems and Its Applications

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2016
We establish a unilateral global bifurcation result from interval for a class of fourth‐order problems with nondifferentiable nonlinearity. By applying the above result, we firstly establish the spectrum for a class of half‐linear fourth‐order eigenvalue problems.

On the global attractor of delay differential equations with unimodal feedback

open access: yes, 2009
We give bounds for the global attractor of the delay differential equation x(over dot) (t) = -mu x(t) + f(x(t - tau)), where f is unimodal and has negative Schwarzian derivative.

Designable van der Waals Crystal for Artificial Neuronal Cell Mimicking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Designable van der Waals crystal has been demonstrated for device‐scale neuronal cell mimicking. The structural similarity between ion‐channel in biological membranes and layered vdW lattices is realized with nano‐crystallization via Ar + H2S plasma sulfurization.

Determinants of early afterdepolarization properties in ventricular myocyte models.

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2018
Early afterdepolarizations (EADs) are spontaneous depolarizations during the repolarization phase of an action potential in cardiac myocytes. It is widely known that EADs are promoted by increasing inward currents and/or decreasing outward currents, a ...

On direct bifurcations into chaos and order for a simple family of interval maps [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1991
We present a simple one-parameter family of interval maps which has a direct bifurcation from order to chaos and then a direct (reverse) bifurcation from chaos back to order.

Comparison of Methods Analyzing Bifurcation and Hunting of Complex Rail Vehicle Models

open access: yes, 2012
The stability assessment is an important task in the mechanical design of railway vehicles. For a detailed model of a railway passenger coach, the hunting behavior depending on the running speed, on wheel-rail contact conditions, and on different model ...
