Ambient Light‐Activatable Luminescent Particle‐Embedded Conformal Patch for Photochemical Tissue Bonding and Photobiomodulated Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a wearable photonic patch integrating room light‐ and sunlight‐activatable luminescent particles (RSLPs) for both photochemical tissue bonding and photobiomodulation. RSLPs harvest ambient light and emit red luminescence to drive chlorin e6–mediated collagen crosslinking.

"Big tech" kanosszajárás

open access: yes

Field‐Programmed Anisotropy in Magneto‐Piezoelectric Composites for Material‐Encoded Mechanoperception

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Field‐programmed anisotropy imparts material‐level intelligence to soft composites. Magnetic torque dynamics drive magneto‐piezoelectric nanowires from random dispersion into deterministic axial alignment. The resulting hierarchical percolation networks confine electromechanical coupling to specific axes and intrinsically decouple superposed force ...

Unpacking Property: Media, Ownership, and Power in Transformation| Toward Media Environment Capture: A Theoretical Contribution on the Influence of Big Tech on News Media

open access: yesInternational Journal of Communication
This study aims at offering an overarching theoretical frame for analyzing different forms of direct and indirect influence of Big Tech on news media. It does so by expanding the concept of media capture to media environment capture. The latter provides

Mechanistically Interpretable Artificial Intelligence for Designing Oxygen Electrocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Mechanistically interpretable artificial intelligence screens nearly seven million perovskite compositions and identifies key descriptors—d‐p hybridization and densification resistance—that govern oxygen electrocatalysis. The discovered BaCo0.8Nb0.1Zr0.1O3‐δ achieves a record 2.68 W cm−2 peak power density at 600°C with over 500 h of durable operation ...

Developing a Functional Polyelectrolyte Hybrid Layer Scaffold Coating and Evaluation of Its Performance for Interaction With Neural Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolyte scaffold coatings modified with Cu and Fe3O4 nanoparticles regulate neural stem cell behavior in vitro. Increased Fe3O4 content enhances mitochondrial activity and neuronal differentiation, whereas higher Cu levels reduce cell viability.

Skin‐Like Tri‐Modal Sensors Based on Soft Piezoelectric and Ionic Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Inspired by the multimodal perception of human skin, a soft, skin‐like tri‐modal sensor is presented. The device incorporates an ionically conductive, piezoelectric, elastic composite as its active layer, enabling independent detection of temperature, static strain, and dynamic strain within a single two‐terminal architecture.

Big Tech, Small Tech, and the Data Economy

open access: yes, 2019
What role does, or should competition law play in the data economy? The proliferation of data into different fields of the economy presents a tremendous opportunity for economic growth. Data permits companies to improve the quality of the products and services that they offer to consumers. It also enables companies to reduce their costs, increase their
