NCOA4 Accelerates Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Formation by Regulating Macrophage Activation and Ferroptosis via STAT1–CH25H Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Under pathological stimulation, NCOA4 in macrophages interacts with STAT1 to promote CH25H transcription. The subsequent increase in 25‐HC production activates macrophages, triggers inflammatory responses and ferroptosis, and accelerates the progression of AAA.

Elastic Graphene‐Shell Architectures Enable Stress Regulation in High‐Capacity Lithium‐Ion Battery Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we developed elastic hollow graphene spheres (GS) that serve as a pore‐engineering additive. This strategy enables the direct fabrication of porous electrodes, effectively mitigating volume expansion and mechanical stress in silicon‐based anodes during cycling without compromising active material or increasing production costs.

Pandemic and big tech

Proceedings of the 24th Symposium on International Database Engineering & Applications, 2020
Having been an observer and user of computing devices from slide rules, analog computers, early monstrous digital machines, to sleek, hand held digital ones: seeing the shift of the computing and data 'ownership' paradigms over the last six decades one wonders at the enormous size, power and market capitalization of a fistful of companies that have ...
