One-parameter generalization of the bihyperbolic Jacobsthal numbers

Asian-European Journal of Mathematics, 2022
In this paper, we introduce and study a one-parameter generalization of bihyperbolic Jacobsthal numbers. We give some identities and the generating function for these numbers.

On some combinatorial properties of bihyperbolic numbers of the Fibonacci type

Mathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2020
In this paper, we give some properties of the bihyperbolic Fibonacci, Jacobsthal and Pell numbers, among others the Binet formula, Catalan, Cassini, and d'Ocagne identities. Moreover, we present the generating function and summation formulas for these numbers.

Conditional probability measure in the algebra of bihyperbolic numbers

Proceedings of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics NAS of Ukraine
An important area of modern mathematics is the study of hypercomplex systems and their possible applications, in particular, for the construction of hypercomplex measure theory, probability theory and mathematical statistics. In this paper, we present a generalization of the notion of a conditional probability measure (real-valued conditional ...

Special bihyperbolic numbers and their connections with triangular tables and matrices

Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie-Sklodowska, sectio A – Mathematica
In this paper we express special bihyperbolic numbers as paradeterminants and parapermanents of some triangular matrices. Moreover, by applying the connections between these parameters of triangular tables and the determinants and permanents of lower ...

On third-order Jacobsthal numbers and their bihyperbolic generalizations

Annales Universitatis Mariae Curie-Sklodowska, sectio A – Mathematica
In this paper, we introduce bihyperbolic third-order Jacobsthal and third-order Jacobsthal--Lucas numbers. In other words, bihyperbolic numbers whose coefficients are consecutive third-order Jacobsthal and third-order Jacobsthal--Lucas numbers ...

Trust in Numbers

, 2020
What accounts for the prestige of quantitative methods? The usual answer is that quantification is desirable in social investigation as a result of its successes in science.

On the structure and generalization of bihyperbolic Leonardo sequences

Boletim da Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática
In this paper, we give some properties of the bihyperbolic Leonardo numbers, among others the Binet formula, generating function formula and the general bilinear index-reduction formula which implies d'Ocagne, Vajda, Halton, Catalan, and Cassini ...

Distribution of the prime numbers

Bulletin of Applied Mathematics and Mathematics Education
This research explores the distribution of prime numbers, which are a fundamental topic in number theory. The study originated from the author's fascination with mathematics and the desire to discover something novel.
