Bilateral Filtering of fMRI Data
IEEE Journal on Selected Topics in Signal Processing, 2008We present a class of adaptive filtering techniques of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data related to bilateral filtering. This class of methods average activities in consistent regions rather than regions that maximize correlation with a BOLD model.

Pattern Recognition Letters, 2012
The paper presents a new graph-based implementation of bilateral filtering. Based on the Laplacian mesh smoothing framework, the proposed filter mimics the behaviour of the classical mesh filter while retaining some of the interesting properties of mesh smoothing. The comparison between the filters is twofold.

Compressive Adaptive Bilateral Filtering
ICASSP 2020 - 2020 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2020We propose a fast algorithm for an adaptive variant of the classical bilateral filter, where the range kernel is allowed to vary from pixel to pixel. Several fast and accurate algorithms have been proposed for bilateral filtering, but they assume that the same range kernel is used at each pixel and hence cannot be used for adaptive bilateral filtering (

Compressive Bilateral Filtering
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2015This paper presents an efficient constant-time bilateral filter that produces a near-optimal performance tradeoff between approximate accuracy and computational complexity without any complicated parameter adjustment, called a compressive bilateral filter (CBLF).
