Abstract Extant turtles occupy freshwater, marine, and terrestrial habitats, and their nasal region provides important evidence for the evolution of respiration‐ and sensory‐related cranial morphology. However, developmental data on the turtle nasal capsule remain limited, particularly in Pleurodira.

Vestibular Evoked Potentials in Two Patients with Bilateral Vestibular Loss.

The Brain Electrical Activity Mapping (BEAM) of Vestibular Evoked Potentials (VestEP) is a new method in the toolbox of the neurootologist. Two cases of bilateral vestibular loss, diagnosed by classical neurootological methods (highlighted by caloric and optokinetic tests' electronystagmography recording), are reported.
