Abstract Background This study attempts to detect the expression of FoxP3, CD68, CD8α, and PD‐L1 in the tumor microenvironment (TME) of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), and analyze the relationship between the corresponding cells and clinicopathological characteristics as well as prognosis of ICC.

Giant liver abscess due to almost asymptomatic common bile duct stone [PDF]
Solitary pyogenic liver abscess is usually caused by a meta-static infection through the portal blood flow or through the hepatic arterial blood flow from extra-abdominal pyogenic foci.

Identification of a boundary obstacle in a Stokes fluid with Dirichlet--Navier boundary conditions: external measurements [PDF]
The problem of identifying an obstruction into a fluid duct has several applications, one of them, for example in medicine the presence of Stenosis in coronary vessels is a life threatening disease. In this paper, we formulate a continuous setting and study from a numerical perspective the inverse problem of identifying an obstruction contained in a 2D

Imaging of biliary carcinoma, fistula and primary sclerosing cholangitis and percutaneous metallic stenting in malignant biliary obstruction [PDF]
Biliary carcinoma, biliary fistula with occasional gallstone ileus and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) are serious diseases and present specific diagnostic and therapeutic challenges.

Pathologic analysis of liver transplantation for primary biliary cirrhosis [PDF]
A retrospective histopathologic review of all pathologic specimens from 394 adult liver transplant patients was undertaken with clinical correlation to determine if primary biliary cirrhosis has affected the posttrans‐plant course compared to all other ...

PPY‐Induced iCAFs Cultivate an Immunosuppressive Microenvironment in Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma features abundant stromal components that hinder therapy efficacy. Single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis combined with experiments identified PPY, a gastrointestinal hormone, as a novel inducer of immunosuppressive iCAFs. Mechanistic studies revealed that PPY activates the non‐canonical NF‐κB pathway via EGFR.

Cell proliferation and oncogene expression after bile duct ligation in the rat: Evidence of a specific growth effect on bile duct cells [PDF]
The proliferative response of the rat liver was measured after temporary or permanent total biliary obstruction (BDO) and in different regions after selective ligation of the lobar ducts draining the right 60% of the hepatic mass.

The Fe3O4/Gd@BSA‐pPB nanoprobe leverages biomimetic mineralization and targets hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) through PDGFRβ, offering superior enrichment in fibrotic regions. This targeted delivery overcomes biological barriers, enhancing both the accuracy and sensitivity of MRI imaging at early disease stages.

Abstract Background Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) can present diagnostic difficulties on bile duct brushings as cytologic features mimicking adenocarcinoma may exist. This study evaluates the role of fluorescence in‐situ hybridization (FISH) as an adjunct to cytologic evaluation.
