Carcinosarcoma of the extrahepatic bile duct
Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Surgery, 2005A rare case of a carcinosarcoma of the extrahepatic bile duct demonstrating interesting features is described. A 75-year-old woman with a history of choledocholithotomy presented with acute obstructive suppurative cholangitis. Ultrasonography and computed tomography showed a thickened choledochal wall, with calcification.

Sclerosis of the Extrahepatic Bile Ducts
Archives of Surgery, 1974This is a retrospective study of 13 patients with sclerosis of the common bile duct seen over a ten-year period at the Hospital of the Good Samaritan Medical Center. Histologic examination of the common bile duct in eight patients permitted a clear-cut diagnosis of sclerosing carcinoma.

Acta Radiologica, 1991An elongated solid lesion observed on ultrasonography and CT in the biliary tree causing a smooth filling defect on cholangiography was observed in 2 patients. No tumor was observed in the liver parenchyma either on radiography or at operation. Histopathology showed hepatocellular carcinoma.
