Duplication of extrahepatic bile duct with lower common bile duct cancer

Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, 2020
Highlight Fukuba and colleagues report a case of lower common bile duct cancer with the extremely rare anomaly of left and right bile ducts parallel with the duodenal papilla, and joined distally to form a single short common bile duct. Fully covered metallic stents were placed in a side-by-side manner.

Expression of Inhibin-α by Granular Cell Tumors of the Gallbladder and Extrahepatic Bile Ducts

, 2001
This is the first report of inhibin-alpha expression in granular cell tumors. A Medline search of the literature revealed no case reports of granular cell tumors in any location of the body being tested for inhibin-alpha immunohistochemically, by enzyme ...

Anomalies of the Extrahepatic Bile Ducts

2010
The right hepatic duct can join the cystic duct, which is a clinically important anomaly. If, intraoperatively, this duct is ligated distal to the union, the bile fl ow from the right liver lobe will be blocked. The right hepatic duct can also drain directly into the gallbladder. Both hepatic ducts can join the duodenum directly without fi rst uniting,

Tumors of Extrahepatic Bile Duct

2017
The rate of extrahepatic biliary benign tumors is very low, accounting for less than one tenth the rate of malignant biliary tumors, and the diameter of the tumor varies from several milimeters to centimeters; thus, intrabiliary growth often leads to stenosis of the bile ducts resulting in obstructive jaundice, of which adenoma is the most common type ...

Cancer of the Extrahepatic Bile Ducts

2000
Emerging from the transverse fissure of the liver are a right and a left hepatic bile duct, joining to form the hepatic duct. The cystic duct, connecting the gallbladder joins the common duct to form the ductus choledochus. This passes behind the first part of the duodenum and then traverses the head of the pancreas until the opening in the second part
