Intrahepatic bile ducts under the lens
Journal of Hepatology, 1985Etude des voies biliaires intrahepatiques au cours de maladies congenitales (maladie polykystique hepatorenale, hamartomes des canaux biliaires ou complexes de von Meyenburg, maladie de Caroli, fibrose hepatique congenitale) ou acquises (cirrhose biliaire primitive) angiocholite stenosante ...

Diseases involving intrahepatic bile ducts
Current Diagnostic Pathology, 2005Summary Diseases of small, intrahepatic bile ducts encompass a wide range of clinical conditions in adults and children, requiring a different diagnostic algorithm for each patient group. Cholestatic biliary liver disease often presents a challenge to the pathologist since there may be considerable similarities in histopathologic biopsy features and ...

ASCARIASIS OF INTRAHEPATIC BILE DUCTS
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1924Authoritative figures indicate that Ascaris lumbricoides has a wider geographic distribution and infests a larger number of people than any other known intestinal parasite. And since the worm in both its larval and adult stages is actively migratory, it is not surprising that disturbances resulting from the presence of the parasite in organs other than

[Intrahepatic bile duct carcinoma (cholangiocarcinoma)].
Nihon Geka Gakkai zasshi, 1997There is no high risk group for cholangiocarcinoma as there is for hepatocellular carcinoma, and it has a poor prognosis because many cases are diagnosed after it has become advanced. To date, there is no effective chemotherapy or radiation therapy for cholangiocarcinoma, and extended hepatectomy is the only effective treatment.

Bile duct paucity ("intrahepatic atresia").
Perspectives in pediatric pathology, 1982Reduction of the number of interlobular bile ducts (BDP) has potentially significant physiologic consequences. Most of the disorders currently recognized as BDP involve an easily discernible reduction in duct numbers, but actual duct quantitation needs to be done routinely in the examination of liver biopsies in order to recognize and assay the ...

Destructive intrahepatic bile duct diseases.
Recenti progressi in medicina, 1991This paper reviews cholestatic liver diseases which are characterized by disappearance of the intrahepatic bile ducts ("vanishing bile duct" diseases). In neonates and children, the most important entities are extrahepatic bile duct atresia and paucity of intrahepatic bile ducts, including syndromatic and nonsyndromatic varieties.
