Effects of Dietary Protein Level on Growth Performance, Serum Biochemistry, Intestinal Morphology, and Intestinal Microbiota in Ningxiang Finishing Pigs

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
A low‐protein (LP) diet maintained growth performance while enhancing colonic microbiota composition and nitrogen utilization in Ningxiang finishing pigs. These findings enhance our understanding of protein nutrition in indigenous fat‐type pig breeds and provide a theoretical foundation for optimizing dietary formulations in Ningxiang pigs.

Probability of pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic target attainment for different piperacillin/tazobactam dosing regimens in renally impaired patients in a non‐intensive care unit setting

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims To optimize antibiotic therapy for pathogens classified as susceptible, increased exposure (I), an increased exposure of piperacillin/tazobactam (PTZ) is required. However, dosing recommendations are currently only available for patients with normal renal function.

Artificial intelligence modelling of tyrosine kinase inhibitors at risk of malabsorption and bioavailability‐enhancing strategies

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aims The study aims to predict and improve the absorption of tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in patients with malabsorption issues, particularly those who have undergone bariatric surgery or are using proton‐pump inhibitors. The research involves 2 main components: the development of an artificial intelligence (AI) model to identify TKIs that are ...

Viability assessment and transplantation of fatty liver grafts using end‐ischemic normothermic machine perfusion

open access: yesLiver Transplantation, EarlyView., 2022
Abstract End‐ischemic viability testing by normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) represents an effective strategy to recover liver grafts having initially been discarded for liver transplantation (LT). However, its results in the setting of significant (≥30%) macrovesicular steatosis (MaS) have not been specifically assessed.
