Linear Forms and Bilinear Forms
2015In this chapter we study different classes of maps between one or two K-vector spaces and the one dimensional K-vector space defined by the field K itself. These maps play an important role in many areas of Mathematics, including Analysis, Functional Analysis and the solution of differential equations.

On the logic and geometry of bilinear forms
Fundam. Informaticae, 2005Summary: The double stranded structure of DNA molecules is investigated in an abstract setting. Only the general structure of bilinear strings is taken into account regardless of specific physical and biochemical aspects of DNA molecules. In this context, the principles which DNA processes are based on are formulated in an abstract form.

Bilinear matrix forms for the area of polygons
Computer-Aided Design, 1996Several matrix forms for computing the area of plane polygons are given in this paper. The area of a simply connected polygon is computed as a bilinear function of coordinates of vertices and as a bilinear function either of signed or unsigned projections of edges. Special reduced forms are given for orthogonal polygons.

The author studies bilinear forms on additive categories and reproves some of the results obtained by \textit{H.-G. Quebbemann, W. Scharlau} and \textit{M. Schulte} in ``Quadratic and hermitian forms in additive and abelian categories'' [J. Algebra 59, 264-289 (1979; Zbl 0412.18016)], a paper, of which the author seems to be completely unaware.

Optimal Evaluation of Pairs of Bilinear Forms
SIAM Journal on Computing, 1978A large class of multiplication problems in arithmetic complexity can be viewed as the simultaneous evaluation of a set of bilinear forms. This class includes the multiplication of matrices, polynomials, quaternions, Cayley and complex numbers. Considering bilinear algorithms, the optimal number of non-scalar multiplications can be described as the ...
