Comparative Analysis of Rub-Impact Dynamics of Shrouded Blades Based on the Bilinear Hysteresis Model and the Coulomb Friction Model [PDF]
The bilinear hysteresis friction model and the Coulomb friction model are two typical macro slip models which are widely used by researchers in simulation analysis of rub-impact dynamics of shrouded blades.

A triple impulse is used as a mathematical model of forward-directivity inputs, which are fault-normal components of near-fault earthquake ground motions. In this paper, two types of the triple impulse input are employed.

Random Excitation of a System With Bilinear Hysteresis [PDF]
An analysis is made of the response of a system with bilinear hysteresis to random excitation. It is shown that for moderately large inputs, the additional damping created by the bilinear hysteresis decreases the mean squared deflection compared with that for a linear system with the same viscous damping.

Constrained bifurcations of the system with double-loop bilinear hysteresis
Systems with double-loop hysteresis are used increasingly in engineering, but few studies on their dynamics are reported. In this study, the bifurcation characteristics of the primary resonance of a system with double-loop bilinear hysteresis are investigated on the background of a shape memory alloy damper.

The Effect of Using Hysteresis Models (Bilinear and Modified Clough) on Seismic Demands of Single Degree of Freedom Systems [PDF]
Based on nonlinear inelastic dynamic analysis of Single Degree Of Freedom systems (SDOF), this work investigates the effect of different parameters on the seismic response of these systems. Generalized SDOF systems that present both short and long period structures are subjected to two sets of synthetic ground motions according to the site condition ...

Abstract A technique is developed for calculating the non-stationary responses of a system with bilinear hysteresis subjected to non-white random excitations. An approximate equation of motion describing the hysteretic behavior is constructed by introducing an additional state variable and non-linear functions.

Abstract In this study, closed form equations as functions of the isolator, bridge and ground motion properties are formulated to calculate the optimum characteristic strength, Q d and post-elastic stiffness, k d , of the isolator to minimize the maximum isolator displacement (MID) and force (MIF) for seismic isolated bridges (SIBs).
