Influence of Preparation and Activation on the Speciation of Carbon‐Supported Mo–W Carbides
In situ X‐ray absorption spectroscopy (along with XRD and TEM) combined with MCR‐ALS resolves the speciation of carbon‐supported Mo/W carbides during carburization. This analytical approach links preparation pathways to active phase formation, providing insights for the rational design of carbide catalysts.

Hexagonal core-shell structure nanowire with high spins of spin-3/2 and spin-5/2
The magnetic properties and hysteresis loops for the hexagonal Ising nanowire (HIN) with a core-shell structure consisting of mixed spins with the core spin being spin-5/2 and the shell spins being spin-3/2 are studied.

Unified Hysteresis Modeling via Physics‐Based Deep Learning and Data Augmentation
ABSTRACT Deep learning‐based models have recently emerged as alternatives to traditional form‐constrained hysteresis models, including Bouc‐Wen class models, offering significant potential for unified hysteresis modeling to capture complex nonlinearities and diverse response patterns exhibited under stochastic excitations such as ground motions.

This data paper presents a comprehensive dataset derived from a series of 29 centrifuge shake table tests of 29 identical virgin small‐scale physical models of an unreinforced masonry (URM) structure. System‐level testing of full‐scale civil engineering structures under seismic loading is often prohibitively expensive and time‐consuming due to specimen

Enhanced spatial error concealment with directional entropy based interpolation switching [PDF]
This paper describes a spatial error concealment method that uses edge related information for concealing missing macroblocks in a way that not only preserves existing edges but also avoids introducing new strong ones.

Fitting of mechanical material behaviour of structural steel for numerical modelling
Abstract Numerical simulations are widely used in structural engineering research, and validated models enable the efficient expansion of datasets without costly additional testing. They allow the investigation of alternative geometries and loading scenarios beyond those covered by experiments.
