Quantum algorithms have been designed for efficiently realizing bilinear interpolation. However, these quantum algorithms have limitations in circuit width and garbage outputs, which block the quantum algorithms applied to noisy intermediate-scale quantum devices.

Results apply in particular to the real method with a function parameter and also to the complex method in the special case when the couple in the target reduces to a single Banach space or the source is a product of two fixed Banach spaces.

Bias Characteristics of Bilinear Interpolation Based Registration
TENCON 2005 - 2005 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2005Image registration has application in many image processing tasks. A new gradient-based registration method that uses the bilinear interpolation equation to predict the pixel values of one image from those in a reference image is developed and its bias characteristics analysed.
