Effect of zooming on texture features of ultrasonic images
Background Unstable carotid plaques on subjective, visual, assessment using B-mode ultrasound scanning appear as echolucent and heterogeneous. Although previous studies on computer assisted plaque characterisation have standardised B-mode images for ...

A solution method for image distortion correction model based on bilinear interpolation [PDF]
In the process of the image generation, because the imaging system itself has differences in terms of nonlinear or cameraman perspective, the generated image will face the geometric distortion.

Feature from recent image foundation models (DINOv2) are useful for vision tasks (segmentation, object localization) with little or no human input. Once upsampled, they can be used for weakly supervised micrograph segmentation, achieving strong results when compared to classical features (blurs, edge detection) across a range of material systems.

In this work, three implementation options for the ghost cell immersed boundary method are compared. These options are alternatives to a rather common implementation of the method that is susceptible to numerical instability in the calculation of the

An Iterative Algorithm for Predicting Seafloor Topography from Gravity Anomalies
As high-resolution global coverage cannot easily be achieved by direct bathymetry, the use of gravity data is an alternative method to predict seafloor topography.

SLIC Based Digital Image Enlargement
Low resolution image enhancement is a classical computer vision problem. Selecting the best method to reconstruct an image to a higher resolution with the limited data available in the low-resolution image is quite a challenge.

Numerical function generators using bilinear interpolation
Two-variable numerical functions are widely used in various applications, such as computer graphics and digital signal processing. Fast and compact hardware implementations are required. This paper introduces the bilinear interpolation method to produce fast and compact numerical function generators (NFGs) for two-variable functions.

Bilinear interpolation of program control in approach problem
Summary: We consider a controlled system involving a constant two-dimensional vector parameter, the approximate value of which is reported to the controlling person only at the moment of the start of movement. A priori only the set of possible values of these unknown parameter is given.

This paper presents the deformable attention multiscale feature fusion network‐dehaze adaptive image dehazing network, which integrates three core modules (revised residual shrinkage unit, multiscale attention, cross‐scale feature fusion). It incorporates deformable convolution and multiscale attention mechanisms to address the detail loss issue of ...
