Implementing nature‐based climate solutions is important for mitigating climate change, which is a global issue, but requires local adjustments in management practices. Using the association between soil carbon and minerals as a proxy for carbon persistence, we evaluated the effect of different management regimes on soil carbon sequestration and loss ...

Representations of U(2∞) and the Value of the Fine Structure Constant
A relativistic quantum mechanics is formulated in which all of the interactions are in the four-momentum operator and Lorentz transformations are kinematic.

Physics‐Aware Recurrent Convolutional Neural Networks (PARC) can reliably learn the thermomechanics of energetic materials as a function of morphology. This work introduces LatentPARC, which accelerates PARC by modeling the dynamics in a low‐dimensional latent space.

COBASE: A new copula‐based shuffling method for ensemble weather forecast postprocessing
We propose COBASE, a novel copula‐based postprocessing methododology that combines the strengths of multivariate parametric correction with non‐parametric rank‐based approaches. We consider two case studies for multi‐site temperature in Austria and multi‐site temperature and dew‐point temperature in the Netherlands.

Identification of Crude Distillation Unit: A Comparison between Neural Network and Koopman Operator
In this paper, we aimed to identify the dynamics of a crude distillation unit (CDU) using closed-loop data with NARX−NN and the Koopman operator in both linear (KL) and bilinear (KB) forms.

Distributed Optimization of Finite Condition Number for Laplacian Matrix in Multi‐Agent Systems
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the distributed optimization of the finite condition number of the Laplacian matrix in multi‐agent systems. The finite condition number, defined as the ratio of the largest to the second smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian matrix, plays an important role in determining the convergence rate and performance of consensus ...

Raman Microspectroscopy for Structural Indication in Ultrafast Laser Writing
Raman microspectroscopy is demonstrated as an in situ, phase‐specific probe for femtosecond laser fabrication in diamond. Multiple spectral indicators are systematically evaluated and correlated with electrical performance, establishing a robust methodology for process monitoring.

Torsion and the second fundamental form for distributions
The second fundamental form of Riemannian geometry is generalised to the case of a manifold with a linear connection and an integrable distribution. This bilinear form is generally not symmetric and its skew part is the torsion.

Impact of half‐joint failures on RC girder bridges: A robustness quantification study
Abstract The robustness of bridge structures is critical to ensuring safety and service continuity, particularly in aging infrastructure exposed to degradation and unexpected loads. Reinforced concrete (RC) half‐joint bridges—widely built in Italy between the 1950s and 1970s—exhibit specific vulnerabilities due to inspection challenges, durability ...

Evaluation of prestress losses in concrete beams using destructive and non‐destructive methods
Abstract Over the past few decades, prestressing techniques have become essential in the construction of key structures, infrastructure, and bridges. The serviceability and safety of prestressed concrete (PC) elements are closely tied to the effectiveness of the prestressing process.
