BIM for Facility Management: Design for Maintainability with BIM tools [PDF]
As Building Information Modeling (BIM) becomes widely adopted by the construction industry, it holds undeveloped possibilities for supporting Facility Management (FM). Some FM information systems on the market claim to address the needs for FM requirement.

Alcohol extracts of Chinese bayberry branch induce S‐phase arrest and apoptosis in HepG2 cells
The alcohol extracts of Chinese bayberry Myrica rubra branches (MRBE) effectively inhibited the proliferation of HepG2 cells by inducing cell cycle arrest in S phase and promoting apoptosis, with this arrest potentially mediated by the activation of p21–Cyclin–CDK (cyclin‐dependent kinase) complex signaling pathways.

New findings by Hughes et al. (2008), Hutcheson et al. (2008), and Weant et al. (2008) highlight the roles of apoptosis regulators Bim and Fas in the contraction phase of T cell responses and reveal consequences of failure of this process.

Lifting the hood of supply and demand for trademarks of start‐ups: Partial observability estimates
This paper estimates simultaneously the supply and the demand determinants of the trademark adoption decision made by start‐ups. We use a partial observability econometric model, as non‐adoption is unobserved. Estimation is by maximum likelihood using the partial observability bivariate probit (POBP) model for an unbalanced longitudinal panel of ...

Abstract This study investigated the psychological characteristics of online learning on Italian students with and without hearing loss (HL) and on their parents, who were forced into isolation during the Covid‐19 pandemic. An online survey collected information on socio‐demographic data and opinions concerning online learning from 61 children (mean ...

BIM-GPT: a Prompt-Based Virtual Assistant Framework for BIM Information Retrieval [PDF]
Efficient information retrieval (IR) from building information models (BIMs) poses significant challenges due to the necessity for deep BIM knowledge or extensive engineering efforts for automation. We introduce BIM-GPT, a prompt-based virtual assistant (VA) framework integrating BIM and generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) technologies to support ...

Enriching the "I" in BIM: A BIM-Specifications (Bimspecs) Approach [PDF]
This paper conceptualizes a framework for bridging the BIM-Specifications divide by embedding project-specific information in BIM objects by means of a product library. We demonstrate how model information, enriched with data at various levels of development (LODs), can evolve simultaneously with design and construction using a window object embedded ...

Peptide‐based covalent inhibitors of protein–protein interactions
Peptide interaction motifs derived from a protein–protein interaction interface can serve as starting points for the development of inhibitors. However, for certain proteins when applying competitive inhibitors, peptide‐based ligands with an irreversible binding mode may be more active. This review summarizes examples of covalent inhibitors that employ
