Optimal integration of auditory and vibrotactile information for judgments of temporal order [PDF]
Recent research that assessed spatial judgments about multisensory stimuli suggests that humans integrate multisensory inputs in a statistically optimal manner by weighting each input by its normalized reciprocal variance.

This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

Entangled light from bimodal optical nanoantennas
We suggest a hybrid plasmonic device consisting of a bimodal metallic nanoantenna coupled to an incoherently pumped quantum emitter. This hybrid device emits light into the two modes entangled in the number of photons.

Interaction in the Bimodal Galaxy Cluster A3528 [PDF]
X-ray and radio continuum observations of the bimodal cluster A3528 in the Shapley Supercluster are presented. From a ROSAT PSPC pointed observation we find a marginal tendency of the intracluster gas to be hotter in the region between the two ...

The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

In single machine scheduling problems with availability constraints, machines are not available for one or more periods of time. In this paper, we consider a single machine scheduling problem with flexible and periodic availability constraints.

Sub-Poissonian Shot Noise In A Diffusive Conductor [PDF]
A review is given of the shot-noise properties of metallic, diffusive conductors. The shot noise is one third of the Poisson noise, due to the bimodal distribution of transmission eigenvalues.
