The Mass Function in Spectroscopic Binaries [PDF]
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1972 The distribution of the mass function of spectroscopic binaries was examined for both giants and dwarfs. It was found that the distribution is very similar for both kinds of objects and that the distribution is rather insensitive to the distribution of the mass ratios.
