Accelerating binary black hole system

International Journal of Modern Physics A, 2022
Recently, by the end of their second observing run, advanced LIGO and Virgo have detected some binary black hole mergers. In this paper, we show that the acceleration of black holes around each other causes the emergence of two Rindler space–times. The parameters of the black hole in each region change in opposite order to the parameters of the black ...

Close black-hole binary systems

Physical Review D, 1992
When the amount of gravitational radiation is small, a binary system of two orbiting black holes evolves in a quasistationary manner. This system can be approximated by a linear combination of geometries each of which has standing waves at spatial infinity; however, the combination has purely outgoing radiation.

Binary Systems Around a Black Hole

General Relativity and Gravitation, 2004
The authors suggest a novel technique that makes the study of small massive objects orbiting around a fixed structure possible, i.e., a mean gravitational field that varies much slower than the local force generated by the orbiting particles. The motion equations are obtained in two different ways.

Black-hole binaries

2001
The black hole is the most exotic object in the universe predicted as a direct consequence of general relativity. Research of stellar mass black holes dates back to 1939, when Oppenheimer and ***Snyder (1939) predicted the possible presence of black holes.

GRAVITATIONAL WAVEFORMS FOR BINARY BLACK HOLES

International Journal of Modern Physics D, 2011
Over the last decade gravitational waveforms of binary black holes have been investigated using a variety of approaches like the Multipolar post-Minkowskian formalism, Numerical Relativity and the Effective-One-Body method. We review these complementary approaches and summarize the current status of these investigations of relevance to construct the ...
