Objective The concern that nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may precipitate flares of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has limited their use in managing musculoskeletal symptoms in those with IBD, but safety data are mixed. Methods This retrospective cohort study included patients with IBD aged at least 18 years from Optum's deidentified ...

An efficient query learning algorithm for ordered binary decision diagrams
In this paper, we propose a new algorithm that exactly learns ordered binary decision diagrams (OBDDs) with a given variable ordering via equivalence and membership queries.

Clinical, Histologic, and Serological Predictors of Renal Function Loss in Lupus Nephritis
Objective Kidney survival is the ultimate goal in lupus nephritis (LN) management, but long‐term predictors remain inadequately studied, requiring long‐term follow‐up. This study aimed to identify baseline and early longitudinal predictors of kidney survival in the Accelerating Medicines Partnership LN longitudinal cohort.

Comparing BDD and SAT based techniques for model checking Chaum's Dining Cryptographers Protocol
We analyse different versions of the Dining Cryptographers protocol by means of automatic verification via model checking. Specifically we model the protocol in terms of a network of communicating automata and verify that the protocol meets the anonymity

Building free Binary Decision Diagrams using SAT solvers
Free Binary Decision Diagrams (FBDDs) are a data structure for the representation of Boolean functions. In contrast to Ordered Binary Decision Diagrams (OBDDs) FBDDs allow different variable orderings along each path.

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Static and Dynamic Load-Triggered Cascading Failure Mitigation for Storage Area Networks [PDF]
Storage area networks (SANs) are a widely used and dependable solution for data storage. Nevertheless, the occurrence of cascading failures caused by overloading has emerged as a significant risk to the reliability of SANs, impeding the delivery of the ...

Binary Decision Diagrams as a HOL derived rule [PDF]
Binary Decision Diagrams (BDDs) are a representation for Boolean formulas which makes many operations, in particular tautology - checking, surprisingly efficient in important practical cases. In contrast to such custom decision procedures, the HOL theorem prover expands all proofs out to a sequence of extremely simple primitive inferences.

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

This work proposes a symbolic method to verify and enforce the current‐state opacity of labelled Petri nets (LPNs). The notion of basis markings of partially observed Petri nets currently dominates the development of opacity verification and enforcement ...
