Relaxation in a glassy binary mixture: Mode-coupling-like power laws, dynamic heterogeneity and a new non-Gaussian parameter

open access: yes, 2005
We examine the relaxation of the Kob-Andersen Lennard-Jones binary mixture using Brownian dynamics computer simulations. We find that in accordance with mode-coupling theory the self-diffusion coefficient and the relaxation time show power-law dependence

Successive Wyner-Ziv Coding for the Binary CEO Problem Under Logarithmic Loss [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Communications, 2019
The $L$-link binary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) problem under logarithmic loss is investigated in this paper. A quantization splitting technique is applied to convert the problem under consideration to a $(2L-1)$-step successive Wyner-Ziv (WZ) problem, for which a practical coding scheme is proposed.

Relationship between Energy and Atmosphere (EA) Credits and Project Size in the LEED-NC Version 3 (v3) and 4 (v4) Projects

open access: yesBuildings, 2021
This study aims to explore the influence of project size on the Energy and Atmosphere (EA) credits in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction and Major Renovations (LEED-NC) version 3 (v3) in California and version 4 (v4 ...

Eulerian idempotent, pre-Lie logarithm and combinatorics of trees [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The aim of this paper is to bring together the three objects in the title. Recall that, given a Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}$, the Eulerian idempotent is a canonical projection from the enveloping algebra $U(\mathfrak{g})$ to $\mathfrak{g}$.

Fourier Domain Decoding Algorithm of Non-Binary LDPC codes for Parallel Implementation

open access: yes, 2010
For decoding non-binary low-density parity check (LDPC) codes, logarithm-domain sum-product (Log-SP) algorithms were proposed for reducing quantization effects of SP algorithm in conjunction with FFT.

In vitro models of cancer‐associated fibroblast heterogeneity uncover subtype‐specific effects of CRISPR perturbations

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Static High Target-Induced False Alarm Suppression in Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar Moving Target Detection Based on Trajectory Features

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
The new mode of Circular Synthetic Aperture Radar (CSAR) has several advantages including multi-aspect and long-time observation, which can generate high-frame-rate image sequences to detect moving targets with a single-channel system.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

The Unipotency of Eleventh Order Matrix Group with no More than Seven Jordan Blocks

open access: yesJournal of Harbin University of Science and Technology
By avoiding complex research methods involving Lie algebra and Lie superalgebra, and instead utilizing simple theories such as matrix logarithm and expansion of product of non commutative polynomial, the new combination property of primitive elements of ...
