Binary Image Analysis

open access: yes, 2007
xels of interest in an image analysis task, leaving the rest as background pixels to be ignored. The selection operation can be as simple as the thresholding operator that chooses pixels in a certain range of gray-tones or subspace of color space or it ...

The Maximum Number of Cells with Modulated Binary Sensors

open access: yes, 2021
Due to the low cost and good privacy protection of binary sensors, there are many applications of binary sensors. To enhance the spatial awareness of binary sensors, researchers utilize modulators to modulate views of sensors into visible and invisible ...

Simulation of the distribution symbols number in the binary delta - modulation signal

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2016
The possibilities of using delta-modulation as analog-to-digital converter in the first stage in the new cascade coding structure for digital data processing systems are developed.

Evaporation dynamics and Marangoni number estimation for sessile picoliter liquid drop of binary mixture solution

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
We propose the evaporation model of picoliter sessile drop of binary solvent mixture (with infinitely soluble in each other components) based on Hu and Larson solution for single solvent sessile drop and Raoult law for saturated vapor density of ...

Relationship Between Neurologic Symptoms and Signs and FMR1 Genotype in Premutation Carriers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Fragile X‐associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS) is the most severe late‐onset condition caused by a premutation in the FMR1 gene, characterized by expanded CGG triplet repeats of 55–200. Clinical presentations of FXTAS, including gait ataxia, kinetic tremor, cognitive decline, and rare Parkinsonism, are linked to ...

Binary quadratic forms and genus theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The study of binary quadratic forms arose as a natural generalization of questions about the integers posed by the ancient Greeks. A major milestone of understanding occurred with the publication of Gauss's Disquisitiones Arithmeticae in 1801 in which ...

Discrete Fourier transformation processor based on complex radix (−1 + j) number system

open access: yesEngineering Science and Technology, an International Journal, 2017
Complex radix (−1 + j) allows the arithmetic operations of complex numbers to be done without treating the divide and conquer rules, which offers the significant speed improvement of complex numbers computation circuitry.

Effectiveness of rTMS on Working Memory and Inhibitory Impairments in Patients With Post‐Stroke Executive Deficits

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Considerable efforts have been dedicated to developing effective treatments for post‐stroke executive impairment (PSEI), among which repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has shown great potential. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of high‐frequency rTMS on working memory (WM) and response ...

Algorithms in the theory of integral binary quadratic forms [PDF]

open access: yes
The classical ("old fashioned") theory of integral binary quadratic forms was developed by Gauss in his famous "Disquisitiones Arithmeticae". This thesis is concerned with the formal description and analysis of a selection of algorithms which make ...

Spin representations and binary numbers

open access: yesArchivum Mathematicum
We consider a construction of the fundamental spin representations of the simple Lie algebras $\mathfrak{so}(n)$ in terms of binary arithmetic of fixed width integers. This gives the spin matrices as a Lie subalgebra of a $\mathbb{Z}$-graded associative algebra (rather than the usual $\mathbb{N}$-filtered Clifford algebra).
