Analysis of Soluble Interleukin‐2 Receptor as a Prognostic Biomarker in NMOSD and MOGAD
ABSTRACT Objective Soluble interleukin‐2 receptor (sIL‐2R) is a biomarker for T cell activity. T cells are involved in neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD) pathogenesis. However, sIL‐2R has so far not been evaluated in these conditions.

A hot and fast ultra-stripped supernova that likely formed a compact neutron star binary [PDF]
Explosive origin of a binary neutron star Some types of core-collapse supernovae are known to produce a neutron star (NS). A binary NS merger was recently detected from its gravitational wave emission, but it is unclear how such a tight binary system can

Delayed and Displaced: The Impact of Binary Interactions on Core-collapse SN Feedback
Core-collapse supernova feedback models in hydrodynamical simulations typically assume that all stars evolve as single stars. However, the majority of massive stars are formed in binaries and multiple systems, where interactions with a companion can ...

Nearly a hundred binary black holes (BBHs) have been discovered with gravitational-wave signals emitted at their merging events. Thus, it is quite natural to expect that significantly more abundant BBHs with wider separations remain undetected in the ...

Type I Outbursts in Low-eccentricity Be/X-Ray Binaries
Type I outbursts in Be/X-ray binaries are usually associated with the eccentricity of the binary orbit. The neutron star accretes gas from the outer parts of the decretion disk around the Be star at each periastron passage. However, this mechanism cannot

ABSTRACT Objective Cognitive impairment, fatigue, and depression are common in multiple sclerosis (MS), potentially due to disruption of regional functional connectivity caused by white matter (WM) lesions. We explored whether WM lesions functionally connected to specific brain regions contribute to these MS‐related manifestations.

The Electromagnetic Counterpart of the Binary Neutron Star Merger LIGO/Virgo GW170817. I. Discovery of the Optical Counterpart Using the Dark Energy Camera [PDF]
We present the Dark Energy Camera (DECam) discovery of the optical counterpart of the first binary neutron star merger detected through gravitational-wave emission, GW170817.

Binary Star Orbits. VI. The Interferometric-spectroscopic Binary 73 Leo
Discordances in radial-velocity measurements of 73 Leonis, made more than a century ago, gave rise to the first suggestion that this fifth-magnitude star was a binary system, but it was 40 yr before an accurate investigation of the object commenced, and ...

Optical Properties and Variability of the Be X-Ray Binary CPD-29 2176
Be X-ray binaries (Be XRBs) are high-mass X-ray binaries, with a neutron star or black hole orbiting and accreting material from a nonsupergiant B-star that is rotating at a near critical rate.

ABSTRACT Background Poststroke fatigue (PSF) and frailty share substantial overlap in their manifestations, yet previous research has yielded conflicting results due to the use of heterogeneous frailty assessment tools. Objective To evaluate the independent impact of frailty on PSF using a unified measurement system (Tilburg Frailty Indicator, TFI ...
