Tidal Interaction in High Mass X-ray Binaries and Symbiotic Stars [PDF]
arXiv, 2010 This paper summarizes our recent results on tidal interaction in high mass X-ray binaries and symbiotic stars. We demonstrate that the giant in symbiotic stars with orbital periods <1200 d are co-rotating (synchronized). The symbiotics MWC 560 and CD-4314304 probably have high orbital eccentricity.

Advanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.Additive manufacturing of magnesium alloys by laser is difficult because the melting point of the oxide layer is much higher than the evaporation temperature of the metal underneath. Making the oxide layer thinner can solve this problem. Alloying magnesium with strontium makes the oxide layer thinner, especially at 0.5 wt%.
