Communications in Binary Fat Trees

open access: yes, 1995
Fat trees are built around complete b-ary trees but have processing nodes only at the leaf level and may have different branch capacities in different levels. In this paper we study the communication capabilities of binary fat trees (including the simple

Large‐Scale Machine Learning to Screen for Small‐Molecule Senolytics

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A consistent workflow underpins all experiments in this study. A dedicated model‐selection dataset first identifies optimal hyperparameters for each algorithm. Models are then trained and rigorously evaluated on independent sets of molecules using the senolytic ratio SR. Comprehensive hyperparameter exploration across SMILES representations, task types,

Comparison of various in-order iterator implementations in C++

open access: yesOpen Computer Science
Data structures typically use sequential or hierarchical arrangements of elements. Hierarchical data structures are commonly referred to as trees. Trees can be implemented and applied in various ways from simple to relatively sophisticated structures ...

Spatially Informed Feature Selection and Machine Learning in Matrix‐Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Imaging for Cohort‐Scale Molecular Tissue Phenomics in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization imaging‐based identification of reliable small molecule markers across heterogeneous glioblastoma cohorts is challenging with intensity‐only methods. We present spatially informed feature selection (SIFS), a spatially informed framework that prioritizes molecules consistently colocalizing with histopathology.

Interactive Prompt‐Guided Robotic Grasping for Arbitrary Objects Based on Promptable Segment Anything Model and Force‐Closure Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
A laser pointer‐guided robotic grasping method for arbitrary objects based on promptable segment anything model and force‐closure analysis is presented. Grasp generation methods based on force‐closure analysis can calculate the optimal grasps for objects through their appearances. However, the limited visual perception ability makes robots difficult to

Zero Watermarking Using Convolutional Additive Self‐Attention Vision Transformer and Discrete Wavelet Transform‐Variance‐Based Feature Descriptor for Medical Image Security in Mobile Healthcare Services

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A zero‐watermarking algorithm that combines a refined convolutional additive self‐attention vision transformer (CAS‐ViT) with a discrete wavelet transform variance‐based feature descriptor (DVFD) is proposed for protecting the privacy of medical images in mobile healthcare services.

Lidar‐Based Object Tracking of Traffic Participants with Sensor Nodes in Existing Urban Infrastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper presents a lidar‐based sensor node design and a rule‐based state observer for edge‐based traffic participant tracking. Unlike other state‐of‐the‐art methods, this state observer enables real‐time, CPU‐only edge processing without relying on machine learning approaches.
