Artificial intelligence adoption and the demand for managerial expertise

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary This paper examines how firms' adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) relates to the demand for managers and managerial skills. Using a skills‐based measure of AI adoption derived from Lightcast job postings, we show that firms with greater AI adoption post more managerial vacancies and a higher share of such vacancies than ...

The impact of generative artificial intelligence on innovation: Evidence from software products

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary We study the impact of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tools on product‐level innovation outcomes in the context of software products. Specifically, we illustrate how GAI can alter the direction of innovation by shifting the activities of developers away from generational innovation and toward original innovation ...

Polymer Electrolyte–Cathode Surface Bonding Suppresses Oxygen Evolution and Cation Mixing in Ni‐Rich Layered Oxides for Lithium Batteries

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Structural stability of NMC is enhanced by introducing strong Ni–Opolymer bonds, such as those in carbonate‐based (PTMC) electrolytes. Strong hybridization between surface Ni and polymer oxygen facilitates oxidation of undercoordinated Ni2+, thereby mitigating Li/Ni mixing and O2 evolution at deep delithiation states.

Tailoring Zn2+ Solvation for Dendrite‐Free and High‐Efficiency Aqueous Zinc Batteries

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A ternary water–methanol–dimethyl sulfoxide hybrid electrolyte reconstructs the Zn2+ solvation sheath by reducing free water activity and promoting coordinated solvent interactions. The regulated interfacial chemistry suppresses parasitic reactions and enables dense, uniform zinc deposition, resulting in enhanced reversibility and long‐term cycling ...

Enhanced Efficiency and Thermal Stability in All‐Polymer p‐i‐n Organic Photovoltaics With Synergistically Designed Second Polymer Acceptor

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Incorporation of a synergistic selenophene‐substituted acceptor, PYISe‐BO‐OD into PYIT‐OD, enabled PM6/PYIT‐OD:PYISe‐BO‐OD all‐polymer p‐i‐n organic photovoltaics with PCE and T80 value of 19.1% and 3415 h, substantially outperforming PM6/PYIT‐OD devices (16.3%, 937 h).
