where m > 0 is the mean of Y and a > 0 is the heterogeneity parameter. Hilbe [1] derives this parametrization as a Poisson-gamma mixture, or alternatively as the number of failures before the H1 e aLth success, though we will not require 1 e a to be an integer.

Long‐term hippocampal place‐code dynamics are investigated using calcium imaging across weeks of maze navigation. Analyses reveal a novelty‐irrelevant Single‐Field Evolution Rule (SFER), where active fields promote persistence and inactive fields decline.

Clean Cut is a multimodal, adaptive, checklist‐based infection prevention programme designed to improve compliance with six critical perioperative infection prevention practices. After introducing the programme at five hospitals in Ethiopia, compliance with critical infection prevention standards significantly improved and the relative risk of ...

A Cluster Elastic Net for Multivariate Regression [PDF]
We propose a method for estimating coefficients in multivariate regression when there is a clustering structure to the response variables. The proposed method includes a fusion penalty, to shrink the difference in fitted values from responses in the same

An Extension of Generalized Linear Models to Finite Mixture Outcome Distributions
Finite mixture distributions arise in sampling a heterogeneous population. Data drawn from such a population will exhibit extra variability relative to any single subpopulation.

A large‐scale spatio‐temporal binomial regression model for estimating seroprevalence trends [PDF]
This paper develops a large‐scale Bayesian spatio‐temporal binomial regression model to investigate regional trends in antibody prevalence to Borrelia burgdorferi, the causative agent of Lyme disease.

Decoding Human Placental Cellular and Molecular Responses to Obesity and Fetal Growth
Women with obesity often deliver large‐for‐gestational‐age (LGA) infants. Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing of term placenta reveals that hypoxia and TNF‐α signaling in syncytiotrophoblasts are featured in maternal obesity, but inflammatory signatures in Hofbauer cells and response to lipid or carbohydrate metabolism in fibroblasts are specific to LGA.
