Trans‐resveratrol alleviates inflammation and improves skin barrier function via aryl hydrocarbon receptor pathway in human reconstructed epidermis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cosmetic Science, EarlyView.
In a cytokine‐challenged human epidermal model, trans‐resveratrol reduces inflammation (IL‐1α) and oxidative stress markers (CYP1A1, CYP1B1), while modulating the expression of barrier‐related genes (LOR, OCLN) and differentiation‐associated CASP14. This supports its role as a multifunctional active for sensitive and compromised skin.

Christian Humanism in the Black Atlantic: The Case of Olaudah Equiano

open access: yesModern Theology, EarlyView.
Abstract This article explores Olaudah Equiano as a pivotal figure in the emergence of a Christian humanism forged within the Black Atlantic. Building on the analyses of Sylvia Wynter and Paul Gilroy, it examines how Equiano's The Interesting Narrative contests the racial figuration of the human that underwrote the development of racial capitalism and ...

Scaling‐Up Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries: From Lab‐Scale Flow Cells to Application Stacks

open access: yesAdvanced Chemical Engineering, Volume 1, Issue 2, December 2026.
The transition of vanadium redox flow batteries (VRFBs) from laboratory cells to practical stacks encounters integrated limitations in key components. This review emphasizes component‐level optimization and engineering considerations for electrodes, electrolytes, membranes, and flow fields. Critical trade‐offs among different metrics across large‐scale

Slow‐release peat‐urea fertilizer increased sweet corn yield and nitrogen use efficiency compared to urea

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract Nitrogen (N) use efficiency of urea is often low, resulting in inefficient N utilization. Again, peat, a high organic carbon (OC)‐containing soil, is considered a problematic soil. However, enriching peat with urea may release fertilizer N slowly, and its application to agricultural soil can sequester OC in the soil.
