Escape of methane gas from the seabed along the West Spitsbergen continental margin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
More than 250 plumes of gas bubbles have been discovered emanating from the seabed of the West Spitsbergen continental margin, in a depth range of 150-400 m, at and above the present upper limit of the gas hydrate stability zone (GHSZ).

Rapid bio-methanation of syngas in a reverse membrane bioreactor: Membrane encased microorganisms

open access: yesBioresource Technology, 2015
The performance of a novel reverse membrane bioreactor (RMBR) with encased microorganisms for syngas bio-methanation as well as a co-digestion process of syngas and organic substances was examined. The sachets were placed in the reactors and examined in repeated batch mode. Different temperatures and short retention time were studied.
