Bio-oxidation of arsenopyrite

open access: yesTransactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China, 2008
Abstract Oxidation of arsenopyrite with Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans was studied. The electrochemical results show that arsenopyrite is firstly oxidized to As 2 S 2 at the potential of 0.2−0.3 V (vs SHE) and As 2 S 2 covers the electrode and retards the process continuously.

Biostimulant Potential of Humic Acids Extracted From an Amendment Obtained via Combination of Olive Mill Wastewaters (OMW) and a Pre-treated Organic Material Derived From Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2018
Olive mill wastewaters (OMW) contain significant levels of phenolic compounds with antimicrobial/phytotoxic activity and high amounts of undecomposed organic matter that may exert negative effects on soil biology.

Pool bio-oxidation and fitting analysis of low-grade arsenic-containing refractory gold ore

open access: yesGreen Chemical Engineering
To overcome the limitations of geography, climate, and ore characteristics on the ore beneficiation process, bio-oxidation studies on low-grade arsenic-bearing refractory gold ore by pool leaching were carried out, as well as process fitting analysis ...

Manometric Studies on the Bio-oxidation of Histamine

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1932
Best and McHenry1 reported observations on a histamine-inactivating substance or system which they denote as histaminase. They state that oxygen is consumed during this reaction but have postponed a detailed manometric study until obtaining a more concentrated histaminase preparation.

The Use of Raman Spectroscopy to Monitor Changes in the Intensity of Ratio of Integral Unsaturated Bands in Bio-Greases

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Bio-greases were developed on the basis of vegetable oil obtained from Crambe Abyssinic seeds. An important aspect of this research is to monitor changes in their quality taking place under the influence of external factors.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
