Preparation of Porous MOF‐Polymer Composites via High Internal Phase Pickering Emulsions for Dye Adsorption Applications

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 20, 27 May 2026.
A versatile method was developed to fabricate hierarchically porous monoliths using UiO‐66/TOCNC composites as Pickering emulsion stabilizers. The resulting polyHIPEs, produced under mild and scalable conditions, showed confirmed structural integrity through TGA, XRD, SEM, BET, and FT‐IR.

Development and Optimization of the Extrusion of Potato Peel–Based Biocomposite Films

open access: yesPackaging Technology and Science
ABSTRACTSide streams from the agricultural and food industries are considered an interesting alternative source for the production of packaging materials due to their composition. However, their use often involves complex and energy‐intensive extraction of individual components. Therefore, this study investigated the application of entire potato peels,

Polylactic acid/akermanite biocomposite films for food packaging applications

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Research
This study investigated the incorporation of akermanite into a polylactic acid (PLA) matrix using the solution casting method, with akermanite ratios ranging from 0.05% to 2% w/w. To facilitate even distribution of akermanite, 5 wt% triacetin was used as a plasticizer.

Synthesis and Characterization of Biocomposite Films of Methylcellulose-Based with Nanocellulose

open access: yesBiointerface Research in Applied Chemistry, 2022
This study explores the development of nontoxic biocomposite films from methylcellulose (MC) and crystalline nanocellulose (CNC). First, a methylcellulose sample (Tylose MH 50) of concentration 1.5% (w/w) and crystalline nanocellulose type-1 samples of different concentrations were prepared to obtain these biocomposite films.
