We found that habitat use for guignas was negatively affected by the presence of co‐predators and open vegetation; conversely, it was positively affected by the occurrence of thick forests and the presence of potential prey.

Seascape Connectivity Shapes Genetic and Species β‐Diversity in Tropical Reef Fishes
Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.Our study combines species occurrence data from five reef fish families with genomic SNP data for 19 species. A correlation between genetic and species β‐diversity emerges only in the Western Indian Ocean, where higher genetic β‐diversity and significant isolation by distance at both the population and community levels are detected.
