Aeration-enhanced bioethanol production

open access: yesBiochemical Engineering Journal, 2014
Abstract In recent years, growing attention has been devoted to maximize the product yield for the conversion of biomass into ethanol. In this study, microaerated conditions were established to enhance the ethanol yield by Eschericia coli KO11. According to the results, limited aeration was found to be an important factor to increase the ethanol ...

Challenges in bioethanol production from intermediate and by-products of the sugar beet processing in the Republic of Serbia [PDF]

open access: yesJournal on Processing and Energy in Agriculture, 2018
The bioethanol market is large and has a constant upward trend, which requires the improvement of its production. In the Republic of Serbia, bioethanol is produced using sugar beet molasses-based media. Taking into account a few disadvantages of molasses

Production of bioethanol from carrot discards [PDF]

open access: yesBioresource Technology, 2012
A revalorization of discarded carrots as substrate for the production of second-generation ethanol is proposed. In order to increase the fermentable sugar concentration of the musts two strategies were studied: Strategy 1 consisted in the enzymatic hydrolysis of bagasse must and Strategy 2 by which carrots were milled, dropped into distilled water and ...

Utilization the agro-wastes for bioethanol production

open access: yesArab Universities Journal of Agricultural Sciences, 2022
Four agro-wastes were evaluated as substrates for bioethanol production. Seven of the pioneer isolates in the production of cellulase, xylanase and laccase enzymes were selected for soluble sugar and bioethanol production. The highest level of soluble sugar was produced on sugar beet pulp followed by corn cobs.
