Sustainable Active Packaging Films From PLA and PBAT With Thyme Oil: Extending the Shelf Life of Cherry Tomatoes

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
Preparation of Sustainable PLA/PBAT Films with Thyme Oil for Active Packaging. ABSTRACT This study aimed to develop antimicrobial and biodegradable packaging films with excellent printability, designed to preserve the freshness of cherry tomatoes, using polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT), and natural thyme oil.

Enhanced Thermal Stability and Antibacterial Properties of Biodegradable Chitosan Composite Films Reinforced With Clove Essential Oil and Graphene Oxide

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, EarlyView.
This study developed biodegradable chitosan films reinforced with clove essential oil and graphene oxide. The films exhibit hydrophobicity, strong antibacterial properties, and improved thermal stability. The films could maintain their antibacterial efficacy after 28 days of storage.

Sensing Pico‐Newton Plasmonic Forces and Jerks of LSPR Biochips Using Simple UV‐Visible Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
The figure represents the interaction of light interaction with a nanostructured plasmonic system. Incident light excites localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) and induces radiation forces on the nanostructures, as illustrated by the force vectors.

Genomic Insights Into a Strong Biofilm‐Forming Enterococcus faecalis MTR_EFS01 Strain Isolated From a Shrimp in Bangladesh

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
This study characterizes a multidrug‐resistant and strong biofilm‐forming Enterococcus faecalis strain obtained from a shrimp sample in Bangladesh. ABSTRACT Enterococcus faecalis is known for its ability to form strong biofilms and its role as an opportunistic pathogen. In this study, we screened and characterized a multidrug‐resistant (MDR) and strong
