Influence of liquid-to-biogas ratio and alkalinity on the biogas upgrading performance in a demo scale algal-bacterial photobioreactor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The influence of the liquid-to-biogas ratio (L/G) and alkalinity on methane quality was evaluated in a 11.7 m3 outdoors horizontal semi-closed tubular photobioreactor interconnected to a 45-L absorption column (AC).

THE ECONOMICS OF BIOGAS PRODUCTION

open access: yesIIUM Engineering Journal, 2013
ABSTRACT: In this paper life-cycle cost analysis of three biogas digesters is presented. Results show that the cost of biogas depends on the construction of digesters, sizes of methane tank and possibility of heating of the slurry. Biogas and natural gas costs calaculated are observed and found to be comparable.

The role of Moringa oleifera in the development of alternative biofuels, under the concept of an integral one‐tree biorefinery: A minireview

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract The Moringa oleifera oil tree is commonly known as the ‘tree of life’ or the ‘miracle tree’ owing to its multiple benefits for humans. The different parts that make up this tree (leaves, seeds and bark) have been used to treat various ailments, diseases and wounds. However, in recent years this tree is being used by the scientific community to

A model of anaerobic digestion for biogas production using Abel equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Some time ago has been studied mathematical models for biogas production due to its importance in the use of control and optimization of re\-new\-able resources and clean energy. In this paper we combine two algebraic methods to obtain solutions of Abel equation of first kind that arise from a mathematical model to biogas production formulated in ...
