Recent Developments in Biogas Manufacture and Biogas Utilization: A Review [PDF]
The various developments in the areas of biogas manufacture and utilization have been surveyed. This includes alternate / multiple substrates that could be economically employed for biogas production, biogas enrichment (carbon dioxide removal), biochemical desulfurization of biogas, utilization of enriched, desulfurized biogas as automobile fuel (in ...

Isolation of Lignin from Anaerobically Digested Unhydrolyzed Solids Produced in a Biorefinery
About 30–40% of lignin-rich unhydrolyzed solids (UHS) are left behind after subjecting lignocellulosic biomass to thermochemical pretreated processes followed by enzymatic hydrolysis (EH) to produce sugars that are fermented to fuels and chemicals in a ...

Microbial characteristics of biogas
The microbial diversity of biogas was analyzed in order to examine the aerosolization behavior of microorganisms. Six biogas samples were analyzed: five from mesophilic and thermophilic anaerobic digestors treating different wastes, and one from landfill. Epifluorescent microscopic counts revealed 106 prokarya m−3.
