ABSTRACT Climate variability is affecting the productivity, profitability, and resilience of smallholder dairy producers in developing countries. The adoption of climate‐smart (CS) dairy practices has been promoted to mitigate these negative effects. However, while interest in dairy CS practices is growing, empirical evidence on their adoption patterns

Microbial Biogas Production from Pork Gelatine [PDF]
This research describes the results of the anaerobic digestion of gelatine as a potential hydrogen source with heat-shocked inoculum. The concentrations of applied gelatine were of VSS (volatile suspended solids) ranging from 10 g VSS/L to 30 g VSS/L. The initial process pH was 5.5, and, depending on the concentration, reached pH values from 7.5 to 7.8

ABSTRACT This study examines whether information about production methods and social norms can increase consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) a price premium for food produced using climate‐friendly farming methods. A randomized survey experiment was conducted with 1568 respondents across Denmark, Lithuania, and Spain, who were assigned to one of four ...

Sicilian potential biogas production
This study is aimed at predicting the Sicilian potential biogas production, using the Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste (OFMSW), animal manure and food industry by-products, in a region where only one biogas plant using MSW and one co-digestion plant are nowadays available.
