Separation of Indium from Acid Sulfate‐Containing Solutions by Ion Exchange with Impregnated Resins
Indium(III) separation with ion exchange resins from acidic polymetallic and very diluted solutions containing 1 mg L−1 in presence of 1 g L−1 iron(II) and zinc(II) each is investigated. The best performance was achieved with Cyanex 272‐impregnated Lewatit® TP 208.

Rubidium chloride modulated the fecal microbiota community in mice
Background The microbiota plays an important role in host health. Although rubidium (Rb) has been used to study its effects on depression and cancers, the interaction between microbial commensals and Rb is still unexplored.

Circular Economy and the Fate of Lithium Batteries: Second Life and Recycling
The lithium−ion battery is the choice of the market for electrochemical energy storage. In the near future, the procurement of materials and disposal of end‐of‐life systems will become of paramount importance. It is necessary to develop the themes of recycling and reuse in a circular economy perspective.

Summary Geoactive fungi play a significant role in bioweathering of rock and mineral substrates. Monazite is a phosphate mineral containing the rare earth elements (REE) cerium, lanthanum and neodymium. Little is known about geomicrobial transformations of REE‐bearing minerals which are also relevant to REE biorecovery from terrestrial and extra ...

Floatation separation of galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite by combined depressant CCSL
The flotation separation of galena, sphalerite, and pyrrhotite was investigated with CCSL as a depressant. Flotation test results show that galena and sphalerite can float but pyrrhotite can barely float with CCSL as a depressant.

Angewandte Elektrochemie in der Biohydrometallurgie [PDF]
AbstractBiohydrometallurgy recovers metals based on bioprocess engineering. This includes bioleaching, whereby metals are extracted by microbially catalyzed dissolution of ores in a strong acidic environment. These are favorable conditions for applied electroanalysis and electrochemical engineering.

Acid agglomeration and mechanism analysis of a low-grade oxide-sulfide mixed copper ore
Agglomeration technology is one of the most effective measures to enhance the poor heap permeability of ores caused by the presence of fine particles. Selecting the proper acid resistant binder is key to the successful heap leaching of copper ore.
