Seasonal Fluctuations of the Seagrass Holobiont under Contrasting Environmental Conditions

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology Reports, Volume 18, Issue 1, February 2026.
(A) The inharmonious state of the Coorong and the different sample types collect with throughout this study. (B, C) Biofilm, including the presence of diatoms and bacteria, attached on the leaves of Ruppia. ABSTRACT Microbial communities are widely recognised as indicative of ecosystem health.

Exploring hymenopteran parasitoid communities and their hosts: A comparative study of farmland and semi‐natural ecotones with focus on pentatomoid bugs and their antagonists

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 28, Issue 1, Page 118-127, February 2026.
Farmland ecotones support high parasitoid diversity, despite lower arthropod richness compared to semi‐natural habitats. Farmland ecotones support high pentatomoid bug abundance, while pentatomoid parasitoids were equally abundant and diverse in both ecotones.

How to assess cutover Peatland regeneration with combined organic matter indicators ?

open access: yes, 2008
International audienceWhen restored, cutover peatlands can favour biodiversity and carbon (C) sequestration. Within the EU program RECIPE, we aimed to identify combinations of site physico-chemical conditions, vegetation composition and below-ground ...

Underrepresentation of bats in Africa's protected areas

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 40, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract Biodiversity is severely threatened globally, with habitat loss and other human pressures accelerating species extinctions. Protected areas (PAs) are a critical conservation tool; however, their effectiveness in safeguarding many taxa, such as bats, remains unclear.

Influence of Temperature, Sunlight and Wind on the Mobilization of Propylene Glycol From Airport De‐Icers by Rainfall

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, Volume 40, Issue 1, Page 44-55, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Commercial anti‐icers and de‐icers (CADs) are essential for safe winter operation; yet, their mobilization remains poorly understood, limiting the ability of airport operators to optimize treatment processes, thus presenting a significant risk to freshwater ecosystems.

Ecotoxicologie et bioindication

open access: yes, 2010

WILD BEES (HYMENOPTERA: APOIDEA) AS BIOINDICATORS IN THE NEOTROPICS

open access: yesTropical and Subtropical Agroecosystems, 2008
The present is a review about the use of wild bees as an indicator group in biodiversity and fragmentation studies. It describes the criteria used for the selection of bioindicator groups and it discusses the available information to evaluate if wild ...
